Hand Embroidered Portraiture

Service Description

This class will explore hand embroidery as an open-ended artform. Think of it as painting with a needle and thread. Courtney Cox, an award-winning and internationally exhibiting hand embroidery artist will instruct the class in stitching a portrait of the iconic Frida Kahlo. Handouts will include information on how stitchers can get started with other portraits at home. Some hand embroidery experience is helpful but not required.
