Start to build on your embroidery skills starting with some basic stitches and transforming the plain ones into compounded designs, elevating your shirt or jacket to show-stopping wearable art. Join us for an exciting workshop where you can add your personal touch to a jean jacket or any clothing item using a range of embroidery stitches! From simple to intricate, explore a variety of stitches to create unique birds, flowers, and animals. Enhance your embroidery skills by learning to mark designs and add embellishments. Please bring along a piece of clothing with fabric that's easy to pierce with a needle. Don't worry about materials—we'll provide everything else you need to unleash your creativity! Instructor Jackie Cory has been producing visual art since childhood. She was encouraged by her grandmother starting with needlework which grew into a love of quilting, mosaics, printmaking, and pottery. Jackie graduated from the University of South Florida in fine arts and art education. She has taught art and quilting for more than 30 years.
